About Savta’s Spices
Savta means grandma in Hebrew.
And my Savta, Marsel, is the reason Savta's Spices exists.
She is a Moroccan Jewish grandmother who moved to Israel and built her life around food, family, and always making space for one more plate. Her kitchen has been full of love, warmth, and unbelievable smells for as long as I can remember. No one ever left hungry. No one ever left without feeling taken care of.
I’m Niv, and I started Savta’s Spices because I live far from home. Being away from my family is not easy, but cooking helps. When I open a jar of spices, I feel like I’m back at the counter, watching my mom stir, season, and do everything the way Savta showed her.
These blends are rooted in real dishes from our home. They carry our flavors, our rituals, and our joy. They are made with love, not rules. And every one of them is a thank-you to Savta Marsel, who still makes the best food in the family.
I hope these spices bring you closer to your own kitchen stories. And if you don’t have them yet, you’re welcome to borrow mine.
ברוכים הבאים לשולחן של סבתא
Welcome to Savta’s table.
