This festive Holiday Rice is filled with the flavors and colors of Rosh Hashanah. Ingredients (serves 4–6):

2 cups long-grain white rice (such as Basmati)

4 cups boiling water

1 teaspoon salt

2 tablespoons Savta’s Spices Shabbat Rice Mix

2 tablespoons oil

1 tablespoon honey
-
½ cup dried cranberries
-
½ cup fresh pomegranate seeds

¼ cup sliced almonds, lightly toasted

Chopped parsley, for garnish
Preparation Steps:

Rinse the rice under cold water until the water runs clear. Drain well.

Heat the oil in a medium pot over medium heat. Add Savta’s Spices Shabbat Rice Mix and stir for 1–2 minutes to open the flavors.

Add the honey and mix gently with the spices.

Add the rice and stir until each grain is coated with the seasoned oil.

Add the cranberries and stir them in.

Pour in the boiling water and add salt. Stir once, then bring to a boil.

Lower the heat to very low, cover, and cook for about 18 minutes without opening the lid.

Remove from heat and let rest, covered, for 5 minutes. Fluff gently with a fork.

Before serving, top with pomegranate seeds, sliced almonds, and fresh parsley for a festive finish.
