Everything with the Challah Stuffing

This isn’t your average stuffing. Made with Savta’s Everything but the Challah blend, it’s golden, flavorful, and the perfect mix of soft and crunchy. If you want to impress your guests this Thanksgiving, this one’s for you.

Prep time: 25 minutes
Total time: 55 minutes
Difficulty: Easy
Kosher: Parve

Ingredients:

  • 1 large challah, cut into large cubes
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil or butter
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 2 celery stalks, chopped
  • 2 tablespoons Savta’s Everything but the Challah Blend
  • 2 cups vegetable or chicken broth
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Preparation:

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Cut the challah into large cubes and spread them on a baking sheet. Toast in the oven for 10–15 minutes, until dry and lightly golden but not burnt. Set aside to cool.
  3. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil or butter. Add the onion and celery, and cook for about 5 minutes, until soft and fragrant.
  4. Add Savta’s Everything but the Challah Blend and stir to coat the vegetables evenly.
  5. In a large bowl, combine the toasted challah cubes and the vegetable mixture. Slowly pour in the broth while tossing gently until the bread is evenly moistened but not soggy.
  6. Transfer to a greased baking dish. Place a sheet of wet parchment paper directly over the stuffing, then cover with aluminum foil to trap the moisture.
  7. Bake for 25–30 minutes, until soft and warm inside. Remove the foil and parchment, and bake for another 5–10 minutes until the top is golden and slightly crisp.
